Features

Key Features and Benefits
Performance and Scalability With high switching capacity, DDS-QXF28 supports wire-speed L2/L3 forwarding and high routing performance for IPv4 and IPv6 protocols.
The 100G connectivity of DDS-QXF28 is accomplished via a hot-pluggable 100G QSFP28 transceiver which supports distances up to 300 meters over multi-mode fiber and 10 to 40km over
single-mode fiber (The distance depends on the optical module chosen)
High availability To implement fault-tolerant networks, the DDS-QXF28 allows the creation a physical stack through one or two 100 Gigabit SFP slots. Four units can be configured as a stack using optional direct attach cables or transceivers to provide high bandwidth on the DDS-QXF28 switch for more flexible management. The total stacking bandwidth for 4 switch units can be 800 Gbps. The stacking topology under the ring architecture provides high redundancy in case one of the stacking links fail. The system can quickly recover through another stacking connection
VSF(Virtual Switch Framework) Virtual Switch Framework can virtualize multiple DDS-QXF28 switches into one logical device, achieving the sharing of information and data tables between different switches. The performance and port density of the virtualized device is greatly increased by time under VSF. VSF also simplifies management work for network administrators and provides more reliability.
L3 Features DDS-QXF28 delivers high-performance, hardware-based IP routing. RIP, OSPF and BGP provide dynamic routing by exchanging routing information with other Layer 3 switches and routers. With DDS-QXF28, customers could easily achieve a Policy-based Route(PBR), which is important when they need a multi-exit application.
MPLS/VPLS DDS-QXF28 supports MPLS L3 VPN/MPLS L2 VPN(VPLS) and helps customer to construct more secure/extendable networks.
With max.255 VRF instances, the DDS-QXF28 series could be deployed as P & PE devices, guaranteeing a variety of services.
Strong Multicast DDS-QXF28 supports abundant multicast features: In Layer 2, such as IGMPv1/v2/v3 snooping & fast leave, and L3 multicast protocols such as IGMPv1/v2/v3, PIM-DM, PIM-SM, PIM-SSM, and MSDP. With Multicast VLAN Register (MVR), multicast receiver/sender control, and illegal multicast source detection functions; DDS-QXF28 provides a great application experience for customers.
High Reliability
DDS-QXF28 series support modular 1+1 redundant power supplies and 5+1 redundant fans. Business won’t be interrupted in case of replacing power supplies and fans.
The system supports dual images. Even though the primary image was destroyed, the system will still boot via backup image normally.
Comprehensive QoS With 8 queues per port, DDS-QXF28 enables differentiated management of up to 8 traffic types. The traffic is prioritized according to IEEE802.1p, DSCP, IP precedence, and TCP/UDP port number, giving optimal performance to real-time applications such as voice and video. DDS-QXF28 also supports Bi-directional rate-limiting, per port or traffic class preserves network bandwidth, and allows full control of network resources.
Enhanced Security IEEE 802.1X port-based access control and MACbased access control ensure all users are authorized before being granted access to the network. Ingress/Egress Access Control Lists (ACLs) can be used to restrict access to sensitive network resources by denying packets based on L2/L3/L4 headers information. And for some services that are based on time, the product can support time-based ACL to match the requirement. Secure Shell (SSH) encrypts network management information via Telnet providing secure network management. RADIUS Authentication enables centralized control of the switch and restricts unauthorized users from altering the configuration of the switch.
Flexible management and future-proof networks DDS-QXF28 switch can be managed via CLI which is consistent with Diana-managed switches, while the intuitive Web-based GUI helps skilled network administrators to quickly become more productive. As the IP address scheme evolves to accommodate a growing number of network devices, the DDS-QXF28 switch assures businesses a smooth migration path from IPv4-based networks to a full IPv6 infrastructure for protection to investments in future network upgrades.
Abundant IPv6 Support DDS-QXF28 supports IPv6 switching and routing based on hardware for maximum performance. With network devices growing the need for larger addressing and higher security becomes critical, DDS-QXF28 will be the right product to meet this requirement.
Green-Energy Temperature monitoring, alarming, automatic cooling, and energy-saving features are realized on DDS-QXF28. According to temperature monitoring, Fan speed can be adjusted or stopped to reduce energy consumption and noise.
